Elantra N Line

The Elantra is known as a nice elegant sedan in the Hyundai lineup, but the Elantra N line is a re-designed version of the classic Elantra, ready to appeal young spirited drivers with passion for speed and precision. The N line is the Elantra of the future!  The powerful 201-hp 1.6L Turbo GDI 4-cylinder and 18-inch alloy wheels will give you the best traction and power in an Elantra sedan.

The Hyundai Elantra has a spacious interior a little bit larger than the Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra and the new 2022 Honda Civic, with more passenger space.

The Elantra is produced by Hyundai, the South Korean manufacturer, since 1990. The Elantra was initially marketed as Lantra in Australia and some European markets. In Australia, this was due to the similar name of the Mitsubishi Magna Elante model.

Standard Elantra features include an 8-inch display, HD radio and Android Auto wireless connectivity and Apple CarPlay (with Limited connectivity). What’s more, the convenience and connectivity features available include the segment’s largest instrument cluster with a 10.25-inch all-digital TFT display, a 10.25-inch widescreen navigation system and the segment’s first Dynamic Voice Recognition with wider and better control. functions. The car is equipped with a Hyundai Digital Key. This digital key unlocks, starts and operates without a physical key through a compatible Android smartphone.

The new 2022 Elantra has more options, more trims and a modern redesigned new look. The 2022  Elantra has a sporty look on the outside and it has been refined inside. The N Line Elantra is part of the 2022 lineup but is is some type of preview of the future of the Elantra, with new features and the design of an upcoming new generation.

What is the Hyundai N Line?

Hyundai N Line models are performance cars created with styling and performance upgrades to make them superior and faster than other Hyundai models. The sporty design elements boost both looks and aerodynamics. N Line includes more power, better handling agility, premium tires and superior performance, N Line maintains a balanced combination of tech, safety and comfort.

The N line name is inspired by the letter N that is the first letter of Namyang, the global research and development center where Hyundai high-performance models are created. It’s also the first letter of Nürburgring, the epic track where they’re rigorously tested and refined. Engineered from Hyundai success in the World Rally Championship and Touring Car Racing series, N and N Line vehicles are built race-inspired.

Some of the Hyundai vehicles that include an N line trim are the Kona, Tucson, Sonata and the Elantra N Line that I am test driving.

Sporty design elements have been added to the Elantra N Line. The driving experience is enhanced by N Line performance with a sport-tuned suspension, steering and revised transmission mounts. The Elantra N Line multi-link independent rear suspension, oversized front brake discs and summer tires make it ideal for long distance or certain off-roads.

The 2022 Hyundai Elantra N offers too many features for its low $24K price.  When you ride a N line Elantra you will get the attractive design of the N Line design front fascia, N Line design rear fascia, Chrome twin-tip exhaust and 18-inch alloy wheels to produce a sporty modern exterior Look.  Performance goes far with Multi-link independent rear suspension, 6-speed manual transmission or 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission with SHIFTRONIC.

The interior is sporty and a bit luxury with its 8-way power driver seat, N Line sport seats, Wireless device charging, Power tilt-and-slide sunroof and the 8-inch color touchscreen display audio.  There are several features that Hyundai has included in the new Elantra N line, like Hands-free smart trunk release and much more.

The Elantra is also available as a Hybrid.

The N Line version I am driving has an MSRP starting around 24K, this is a wonderful low and value price for a nice sporty and modern sedan like the new 2022 Elantra N Line. 2022 Hyundai Elantra N (Not N Line)

Different from the Elantra N Line, there will be soon a new Elantra N model available for the first time in 2022.

Hyundai confirmed the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and its 276 horsepower and 289 pound-feet of torque. Pressing the “N Grin Shift” button increases up to 286 horsepower for 20 seconds at a time by increasing boost pressure.

Hyundai says the interval time between presses is only 40 seconds, so you could theoretically use it on every lap when on a track.

However, you will need to specify the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to get N Grin Shift power, as it is not available with the standard six-speed manual transmission.

The Elantra N features an electronic limited slip differential to adequately control power up front.

You get pretty big brakes (14.2-inch rotors up front) with high-friction pads; Hyundai even modified the brake dust covers for greater cooling capacity instead of blocking dust.

All Elantra N’s will be equipped with a mechanical, not electronic, parking brake. The chassis and suspension are completely modified for N-tasks. Hyundai integrates the driveshaft, wheel hub and bearing in one piece for a stronger and lighter driveline.
New, stiffer bushings are used throughout the suspension, as the use of a dual-compound insulator in the front suspension aids handling and NVH.

Additional reinforcements are used front to rear for better stiffness, and you will actually see one of the additional reinforcement bars painted red in the trunk.

The N uses electronically controlled adaptive dampers to adjust damping on the fly.

According to Hyundai the rear wing improves stability in and out of corners. It also has more underbody coverage to improve aerodynamics.

You can opt for the upgraded N seat as standard, but Hyundai will also optionally offer an “N lightweight bucket seat” that is slimmer and reduces the seating position by 10mm.

Hyundai N designers took cues from the curves and lines of a sculpture to give the car a powerful and athletic stance.

“Elantra N is a high-performance sedan that reveals the sportier side of our exceptional all-new Elantra through exciting enhancements to the N brand,” said Till Wartenberg, vice president of the N Brand Management and Motorsports subdivision at Hyundai. Motor Company.

The Elantra N includes suite of advanced driver assistance systems. The most important ones include Blind Spot Warning (with Collision Avoidance Assist), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (also with Collision Avoidance Assist), Forward Collision Avoidance, Lane Keeping, Lane Following (keeps the car centered in the lane ) and automatic high beams.

The Elantra N is not available for sale yet, but you can purchase the Elantra N Line, as it is available now.
