Tucson’s new exterior styling is bolder than it looks, with body-side pleats, a striking front grille, and new taillights with light bars that extend across the entire rear of the vehicle. The 2022 Tucson features an edgy and aggressive look based on parametric shapes, reflecting Hyundai’s new design identity. This new grill incorporates daytime running lights. The two outer columns of triangular trim that appear to compose the grille with disguised LED lights, when off, are indistinguishable from the rest of the grille. It seems that he will share it with the Holy Cross. With added roominess, technological improvements, and a makeover, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson has a good advantage over the previous model and over some of its competitors.

From the side, the angled body panels offer another interpretation of the parametric design. 2022 Tucson Better Performance

The new 2022 Tucson models with an internal combustion engine will be produced at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing plants in Alabama (HMMA) and Ulsan, Korea.

The new Tucson appeals to those who actively support the integration of technology into their lifestyle; these open-minded consumers readily embrace new technologies as a way to immediately integrate and improve their lives. Four-wheel drive capability is an example of technologies that facilitate their active lifestyles, which often include inclement weather, hostile terrain, and active outdoor adventures. The new Tucson will be offered with three different powertrains but I have only the gasoline and hybrid versions available for testing. The Tucson PHEV will be released after the other two versions.

The gasoline version with its 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine generates 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid has a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with more power than the standard gasoline engine, with 180 horsepower, 195 pound-feet of torque, and 226 horsepower with the addition of the electric motor.

Both Tucson’s powertrains employ traditional transmissions including an 8-speed automatic for the gas model and a 6-speed automatic for the hybrid Tucson model. All-wheel drive is standard for the hybrid model, while the gasoline model comes with front-wheel drive by default and an all-wheel drive is an option on all trim levels. The gasoline engine is offered in SE, SEL, and Limited trims, while the hybrid comes in Blue, SEL Convenience, and Limited. The Blue and SEL Convenience are based on the SE and SEL gasoline models, but with an added option package.
